Engineered panel stock for flat parts, enclosures and cost-efficient production runs.
Smooth, paintable panel material for enclosures and parts where the grain is meant to be hidden.
Premium dark appearance for visible housings and product components.
Durable, light-grained hardwood suited to furniture components and visible product parts.
CNC Wood Routing Surface Finishes
We apply wood-appropriate finishes in-house to control quality and lead time. Each finish below protects the wood surface, adjusts appearance, or prepares the part for assembly.
Surface Finish
SPECIFICATION

Sanding
Parts ship directly off the machine with tool marks removed by progressive sanding through 120, 180, 240, and 320 grit. Standard finish for unfinished furniture components, prototypes, and parts that will receive downstream finishing from the buyer.

Polishing
Sanded surfaces are buffed to a smooth, even sheen for parts where appearance and feel matter most. Available in satin or high-gloss finish, applied after sanding and before any protective topcoat.

Oil Finishing
Penetrating Danish oil applied to the sanded surface. Enhances wood grain, evens out color variation across the panel, and adds a warm hand-rubbed look. Color options include natural, golden oak, walnut, ebony, and custom color matching.

Veneering
Thin wood veneer face bonded to a plywood or MDF substrate, giving a real-wood appearance and grain pattern at lower material cost than solid stock. Available in a range of species to match the preferred materials list.

Laser Engraving
Decorative details engraved with a CO₂ laser directly on the CNC router. Used for logos, model numbers, inlay patterns, and signage text. Depth from 0.5 mm for fine detail up to 10 mm for deep relief carving.

Edge Banding and Assembly
Best-Fit Applications
Wood components designed to become real products. Our priority is repeatable commercial work with clear drawings, product requirements and production potential.
Wooden housings for consumer electronics, controls and connected products.
Product housings and visible components where wood adds warmth and differentiation.
Repeatable components for desk accessories, equipment housings and workspaces.
Selected product components where order value and production volume justify sourcing.
Yijin Solution CNC Wood Routing Factory
Yijin Solution operates a 25,000+ m² manufacturing facility in Shenzhen, China. Our CNC wood routing cell houses multiple 3-axis router tables with vacuum hold-down, automatic tool changers, and nesting software, plus dedicated lines for sanding, staining, edge banding, and assembly. Parts move from panel stock through routing, finishing, and assembly without leaving the facility.
We serve clients across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Every order ships with dimensional inspection, material certificates where applicable, and photos of finished parts on request. Our factory is ISO 9001 certified, with established processes across cabinet programs, signage runs, and architectural millwork builds.

What's CNC Wood Routing
CNC wood routing is a way to cut and shape wood, sheet stock, and composite panels with a computer-guided router. CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control, which means a computer directs every tool movement instead of a human operator. A spinning cutting tool moves along the X, Y and Z axes above a flat panel of material, following the CAD file to cut, carve or profile the part the same way every time.
The process starts with a digital file that defines every cut path. The router then moves the spinning bit through the panel in passes, while a vacuum table or clamps hold the stock flat and still. Finishing operations, such as sanding, oil or polish, and edge banding happen after cutting.
Wood routing differs from CNC turning, where the workpiece itself rotates against a stationary or slow-moving cutting tool to produce cylindrical parts such as shafts or bushings, the opposite motion from routing. It also differs from CNC milling: milling uses the same X/Y/Z cutting motion as routing but is typically set up for heavier-duty work on metal, with different tooling, spindle power and tolerances than wood routing requires. Routing is purpose-built for flat and sheet-stock parts in wood and wood composites.

Why Choose Yijin Solution for CNC Wood Routing
We control every step of CNC wood routing from CAD through cutting, finishing, and assembly. That vertical integration means shorter lead times, consistent quality across panels, and direct factory pricing without broker margins.

Prototypes ship in 7 to 10 business days. In-house design, routing, finishing, and edge banding eliminate supplier handoffs between shops.

Your prototype and production panels come off the same machines using the same CAD files. Nesting data transfers directly from pilot to volume runs, so there is no re-qualification when you scale.

Hardwoods, plywood, MDF, melamine, acrylic, PVC, HDPE, aluminum composite, and foam cores in sheet thicknesses from 3 mm to 100 mm. Clients can also ship in premium species or specialty stock.

Our in-house designers convert sketches, photos, or napkin drawings into production-ready CAD files at no additional cost when paired with a routing order. Parametric customization, joinery detailing, and nesting optimization included.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about CNC wood routing, materials, and our production system.
Does Yijin Solution accept one-off wood prototypes?
Yes, when the prototype has strong commercial value, is expected to lead to production, or forms part of a project that also requires CNC metal components.
What is the preferred minimum project value?
Wood-routing projects above USD 1,000 are preferred because sourcing and production coordination require significant team resources. Other projects can still be submitted for review.
What is the largest part you can review?
Each individual dimension must be 800 mm or less: maximum length 800 mm, width 800 mm and height 800 mm.
What tolerance can be achieved?
The approved standard is ±0.3 mm. Natural wood can move or deform, so final tolerance suitability must be reviewed against the design and material.
Which files should I provide?
CAD or STEP files, dimensioned drawings and a bill of materials are preferred. Please also include prototype quantity, first production quantity and estimated annual demand.
Have a commercially viable wood product?
Send your files, quantities and delivery requirements. We will review whether the project is a suitable fit for Yijin Solution’s manufacturing network.
